I like today’s article as
Antônia Sobral shares some of her ‘life-smart’ wisdom that connects some reasons as to why puzzle lovers may enjoy doing puzzles so intensely. Read what she shares with us today.
Dear Readers,
Long time ago I realized that assembling a jigsaw puzzle is not only a hobby, a fun. It is a reflection of something that happens inside and outside of us. It is as if we were organizing the pieces of our lives, in order to achieve a harmonious, beautiful and victorious end.
All puzzle’s lovers must have already had such experience, since in order to assemble one, we must organize the time available for it, where we will do it, set limits for animals that live with us, children… well, life around us. At the same time, it would be impossible to assemble a jigsaw puzzle without patience, organized ideas, persistence, concentration and many other attributes that slowly develop inside us.
And if we analyze it deeper, we can even solve problems of our life if we know how to “read”, at the assembling process, the several options that pieces show to us. After all, if we think that each single piece has its right spot, irreplaceable and of fundamental importance, we can likewise comprehend the importance of everything in life, because every things have its place and value.
On the other hand, experiences I’ve had when cutting images, i.e., messing up what is harmonious, has led me to think about it. One of my first puzzles, when I had not even proper tools, I found myself making my husband’s face in dozens of pieces. For a moment I felt like offending our relationship, destroying his face inside me … It made me a little sad, but I overcame this feeling when I remembered that I would be assembling it soon. In those moments I found an interesting answer to many events of life: even if, in an instant of weakness, we may shake relationships or hurt people, we always have the opportunity to gather the pieces and assemble them back, making the final product more beautiful and admirable.
