The young man received the gift, opened the package and saw that there were pieces of a jigsaw puzzle.

"I love this kind of painting."
E tentou adivinhar:
"É o mapa do Canadá!"
"Tem umas peças muito lindas. Esta parece um urso."
Kaj li provis diveni:
"Ĝi estas la mapo de Kanado!"
"Estas kelkaj tre belaj pecoj. Tiu ĉi aspektas kiel urso."
And he tried to guess:
"It's a map of Canada!"
"There are some very beautiful pieces. This one looks like a bear."
"Pode ser que no contexto geral esta peça não seja um urso... mas várias aqui parecem ser bichos, ou portais."
"En la ĝenerala kadro ĉi tiu peco eble ne estu urso... tamen diversaj el ili aspektas kiel bestoj, aŭ portaloj."
"In the general context, this piece might not be a bear... but several pieces here seem to represent animals or gateways."
E ele começou a montar:
"Acho que é algo relacionado ao Canadá, mas não consigo imaginar o que seja."
"Se o bilhete diz que a família vai na mala, talvez seja algo relacionado ao lugar onde moramos, aos nossos bichos, ao nascer ou por do sol de lá..."

And he started putting the puzzle together:
“I think it is something related to Canada, but I cannot foresee what it is.”
"If the note says that the family goes in the suitcase, maybe it's something related to the place where we live, to the animals on our land, to the sunrise or the sunset there...”

Then the man found a piece showing the eye of one of the dogs. He recognized it because this particular dog has one eye of each color: brown to his left and light blue, almost white to his right. From there on, he was sure he was dealing with the dogs of the family.
